Visiting the three H's.
It's not officially summer yet and I know this bit of weather isn't set to last, but it certainly felt like it when we visited our friend this morning.
She is recently back from Vancouver and her daughter Helen has returned with her with son Hamish and new arrival Hugh.
We had a very pleasant time sitting out in the garden whilst Hamish ran around and played lots of ball games as well as having a sword fight with Chris with a foam cricket bat and a kitchen roll inner. Great how kids invent things. With each strik he cried 'shot'. He was also asking for 'cookies' and Helen kept telling him they were biscuits. He's a Canadian already.
We decided to pop down to Goit Stock after lunch as Chris hadn't seen the site of the owl's nest, but we had heard on social media that they had fledged and sure enough there was nothing there. (See here from Friday https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2180319222939257833/gallery/2180321912800939811 )
So here is my blip of our visit complete with Liz's wonderful tulips. How can she disappear to Canada for 7 weeks and have better tulips than me (and two grandchildren!) Not jealous really.
