The Blue Mountains

Today we took a up tour to the famous mystical 'Blue Mountains', a couple of hours west of Sydney. We went on a 'bush walk' (as the Australians say) where we saw plunging waterfalls, lush rainforest and plenty of aboriginal carvings. When we reached the top we saw the most beautiful view of the mountains encompassed by a mysterious blue mist- which is actually a fine cloud of oil created by eucalyptus trees. We then went to visit 'The Three Sisters'- a famous rock formation, however due to poor visibility, it wasn't quite as clear as in the photos.. After an awkward sleep on the coach, we headed straight to the airport (tired and hungry) to go our next destination- Melbourne.
