Monicque

Monicque in an angelic moment, wielding her axe on stage.  My friend, Monicque, lost her mother quite suddenly and unexpectedly  a couple of weeks ago to an especially aggressive cancer.  This weekend, she celebrated her own 50th birthday by hosting and playing in a musical fundraiser for one of her mother's favorite charities.  She and her band even played an original song Monicque wrote for her mother during her short illness but never got to play for her.  It was a beautiful day.
