No
spectacular sunsets today as was forecasted. Perhaps not enough sand in the atmosphere. Or I'm just used to the stunning sunsets we have almost every evening.
Today we had a successful visit to the local town hall. Town hall is in the same building as our international library and health care center. The town hall room was so hard to find. It was in the furthest corner in a place you'd assume was their office manager's private room or something. Anyway we finally found it and managed to get us on Padron. Now we are listed as residents of Santa Pola. But that does not mean we have changed our papers from Finland to Spain. No. We have not. It only means that we have rented / bought a place here and spend time here as well and as registered to Padron they have more correct population number for this town. And as they get money from the state by population, every one counts when they need money to health care, schools, police ect. And as listed in Padron we also get a certificate that we live here and now have a permission to buy a car in Spain. The police needs to know where to send speeding tickets and other similar stuff, so now they have it. Wohoo!
When we finally move into our own house when it's built, we go to the same town hall and change our address there. Can you believe that? Back to the 70's ;-)
