Mono Monday 13

A gentle walk along the canal with teenager who is now preparing for her last exam tomorrow. It is unusual for her and me to be together like this and it was very enjoyable.

In the bay the oystercatchers have moved on, that is because the gulls have stolen their nesting site. This could be why they abandoned easily this year. The gulls intent on murdering each other about a week ago, it seems, had nests beside each other. One is sitting on two eggs the other has abandoned her single egg so that could have been what the fight was about.
