Pre Sunset in Kas, Turkey.

We have been coming to this stunning part of the world for 12 years now, it has provided us with many an adventure: sea kayaking, hiking, diving and getting to know some of the locals. But now It is so quiet, the tourist industry has taken a huge hit because of the refugee problem in Turkey. Tourists are afraid of being confronted with war and poverty, they think they will be robbed, attacked, maybe there could be bombs etc. It is so sad for the locals who could probably lose their jobs, businesses etc. Yet a young man, working in the hotel where we are staying, can see the big picture, with empathy for the refugees and understanding of his government's acceptance of the refugees. Life is so complex, where do we fit in and what is our role in this beautiful land?
