Going home today (Notice the blue sky) ❤️

(Back Blipping to the last day of our holiday).....❤️ Well would you believe it.....We are going home today and for the first time the sun has come out....!! We take our last few photos of this magnificent hotel/Monastery. Our plane doesn't fly until this evening so we walk into town for some Sunday lunch.....The place was heaving with people, out to enjoy the lovely sunshine (Notice all the washing hanging out of the Windows in the Town Square.
The flight back was unremarkable and the landed at Gatwick, cleared customs and had picked up the car within an hour of landing...Amazing...!!
Now we knew the car was a bit poorly, but at this time of night the roads would be quieter so we could "Pootle" home at a genteel pace.
Unfortunately we had only just joined the M25 and the car failed to negotiate the hill our speed dropped to 15mph and we pulled onto the hard shoulder. After an hour of standing in our summer clothes (6°) at the side of the now busy with lorries motorway the RAC arrived, after an hour of trying he was unable the fix the car and a breakdown truck was called....3hrs after breaking down 01:30am we were hauled onto the back of his truck and taken away, our destination was Newbury Services where we would be transferred there to another truck to finish our journey....,04:30 we finally arrived home
