Gettysburg Battlefield

For those of you who have never been here, this was the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Three days of intense fighting with losses  on one day alone totaling 20,000 men. The fighting raged on around the town  and on the once peaceful farms that surrounded it . In spite of that only 1 civilian lost her life when she was hit with a stray bullet while in her kitchen baking. No acts of atrocities were committed , no hostages were taken .  The town was largely left alone.The Lutheran seminary and other buildings were used as a hospital for the wounded from both sides. The battle was a turning point in the war which finally ended 2 years later. 
Lincoln dedicated the Cemetery the following year with his now famous "Gettysburg Address" which was almost ignored at the time due to its brevity in a time when long winded and prosy speeches were the norm. Years later veterans from the war and the states they hailed form put up memorials , markers and plaques over the battlefield to commemorate their regiments, commanders, and their losses.
The extras are G at one of the plaques , the Devils Den ( where Confederate sharpshooters hid and fired on the Union soldiers) from Little Round Top, and a look across the fields . And yes, the farm buildings you can make out from the gunnery placement in the main blip was there and occupied during the battle.
