Today's the day .......................... to wait in comfort

Most of the roads on Harris are single-track - with passing places that enable you to get past vehicles coming in the opposite direction.  Now and then you have the luxury of two lanes but that has come about usually because of an EEC grant or something similar.  The problem is that the terrain is very rocky - and to build any sort of a road takes a lot of hard work. 

At least travellers would be able to shelter in this modern-looking bus shelter - while they waited for their driver to negotiate the road to them .......................
