I have been trying out a Lensbaby Velvet 56 mm lens for the past few days and have taken dozens of shots, but I don’t feel quite right about them.  I am uploading this one which was taken at f/2.8 which is not much different than my macro lens.  In the extra I have uploaded a similar shot with the aperture wide open at f/1.6 to demonstrate the kind of effect this lens is capable of.  I am the one, however, who is so obsessed with my shots being tack sharp, I can’t wrap my brain around one of my shots with this ethereal look, but I love it when others do it.  I wonder if I will get used to it.  

On the weather front, there hasn’t been a break in the rain all day.  It may be time to start building that ark.
