Poorly pup

At home at last, what a stressful 24 hours but the big hairy one is back home. Here she is in the makeshift home based hospital ward with new duvet and cover to keep her comfy.

As you can see she is sporting the latest trend of tiger print vet wrap and she wears it so well! She has quite a large wound on her stomach but haven't been able to get a good look as she's so sore, or it could be her embarrassment at her old lady rolls of skin which are now quite evident with the belly fur gone....

She came bounding out the vets, not quite the reaction I expected after major lifesaving surgery, but has left me in no doubt I made the right split second call last night (not sure the insurance company will agree with the bill currently just over £2000!)

Very small meals 6 times per day and virtually no exercise for the next week, she's certainly not out of the woods yet but she's home and settled and I can fall asleep with her by my side, listening to her soothing deep breaths and gentle snores. She's one special dog.
