Invader
The harlequin ladybird is the fasted invader in the UK, since arriving 10 years ago it has drastically reduced the native seven spot and two spot ladybirds by being cannibalistic. They like overwintering in the home in their hundreds, as I have noticed in the sunroom where they fall off from behind the curtains when the sun comes out. Still pretty though...
The extra is another shot of yesterdays blue tits nest, here it is flying out of the nest with something in its beak. Still busy with both parents flying in and out every five minutes
