Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.....

Our last night in Llangollen so we decided to go out for a meal together and we had a great meal at the Dee Side Restaurant. After I decided to go along to the  Pontcysyllte Aqueduct to get a Panorama shot of it.
This Aqueduct was built between  1795 and 1805 by Thomas Telford, it is the longest and highest aqueduct in Great Britain, a Grade I Listed Building and a World Heritage Site.
The Columns was built from local stone, and the canal was made from cast iron from Shrewsbury foundry.
The total cost of the project was £47,000 a fortune in those days.
