Sunshine on Leith

The day started slowly - eventually we went up to the allotment and saw the amount of grass and weed growth that happens when you haven't been near it for a week and it's rained a couple of times. Did what we could and then made it down to the Links where we met up with Syuzen and Pat plus various family and friends, all in a state of high excitement (although strangely subdued by massive hangovers). They've waited 114 years for this, so no wonder.  We saw the open-top bus go past, but the photos were not good being directly into the sun (see extra).
