Crossing Strangford Lough

Today we had a day out. Drove to Portaferry along the side of the Lough and this was taken from the ferry on the crossing to Strangford. Then the short drive to Castle Ward where we did lots of pottering about but managed not to see around the house.
We returned via the ferry and the road up the Irish Sea side of the Ards peninsula. Dodged a couple of heavy hail storms and are now back at the tower with the log fire lit.
An evening with our books before leaving in the morning to spend the day with father in law.
