Family

Martin and I returned to Baronshaugh, armed with binoculars, camera and a cool app on my phone that helps you identify bird song.
This lovely family were in clear sight. Our sedge warbler from last Sunday put in an appearance again at the same spot in the reeds and we saw a young heron (see extra) with parent not too far away. The phone app came in handy when we saw a wee bird singing its heart out in a tree - song was identified as a garden warbler and the picture matched up!
On our walk away from the hides, we saw goldfinches, bullfinches and a lovely orange tip butterfly.
I think we have found a new favourite place!
