Dual purpose geranium

This pot has a secret to keep.

The planter pot has no base and was placed around the water meter, a neccessary, but somewhat unattractive, feature of our front garden.

It was filled with potting mix and on Easter weekend, the kids and I placed 6 cuttings from my favourite geranium "Big Red".

That was the end of March, and now in the cool and blustery back part of May, we are enjoying a show of deep rose red blooms.

Blemish obscured, mission accomplished.
