Sunday
We have had a long and warm autumn. It is coming to an end now and the warm weather too. Yesterday was a perfect picnic day, but ours was planned for today. In the morning we still had hopes that the Bureau of Meteorology was wrong. Unfortunately all of the forecasts came true. The sun disappeared, the clouds arrived and the rain came down. The only benefit of this weather was that we had no problem finding a sheltered picnic spot (including a barbecue) in the Belair National Park. Usually it would be impossible and such a spot would have to be reserved in advance. We had fun and after lunch we went to the nursery, which has an amazing choice of native plants. Then it stopped raining, so we ventured for a little walk and saw two emus. Lovely day. I am glad we didn't get frightened by the wetness.
