Fungi fied Wasp

Today was alittle cloudy and cooler. We went to Nelson Creek for more fungi and weren't disappointed. The rain stared as light showers, and we perservered. Murry, our leader, found this specimen; a wasp which  has been taken over by a form of fungi which lives on the wasp's juices..
The rain drove us out and we headed for home, near Klondyke Corner, past
Arthur's Pass we discovered why the temperatures had dropped.. see extras
