Chiringuito

A beach day today. We went to La Herradura for the annual treat of renting sun loungers at a chiringuito on the beach, lounging till comfortably hungry, then having lunch in the bar -- which has to be seafood of course. Salad, clams, mussels, strawberries, and a bottle of Rueda. S was braver than me and actually went for a swim, while I just dabbled up to my knees for five minutes. The water was not warm, and there was a bit of a breeze, but it was still lovely to lie on the beach and read. I have almost finished the 600-page monster for my book group, AS Byatt's The Children's Book. Which is still baffling me.
