Airlie Beach

I spent the day in the small town of Airlie. I used the facilities at a hostel (again, they let me for free) and had a beer in town. The only real reason to stay in town for the night would have been the night-life, especially given the price of accommodation. I started to feel ill, probably from lack of sleep in the heat, so I left town and drove to a free campsite en route to Eungella National Park, where I'd heard it was possible to see the platypus in the wild.
