Horomaka Island, Port Levy
I was sitting here in the afternoon, watching the southerly storm making its way past Horomaka Island, with white caps from shore to shore, and the wind whistling in the chimney. What a blast of wind! and heavy heavy rain too. I'm staying at a friend's house over here and enjoyed having her arrive late afternoon.
My connection with Horomaka Island is, of course, Horomaka himself, on Blip. I'm hoping to get down to his home soon, to take him out for a wee photo trip, as soon as his knee is up to it. He's finding life very frustrating at present, as his knee is keeping him couch-bound.
This small island, Horomaka (the island of treacherous rock), is in the bay opposite the Koukourarata settlement (Port Levy).
