Painting - Flash flood, Tacoma
Photographing this large painting still on my wall - recalling my efforts in trying to capture the watery flash flood I drove through on my way to the picture framer. I used house enamels to start with - board flat on the floor - poured ribbons of colour vertically, then raked them horizontally with a large comb. When dry, added the trees and the egret. It was messy but fun! These days I work much smaller.
