A new part of the lakeside was opened up last year and a new jetty built near the Aira Force car park.

We had some jobs to do at the lodge this afternoon so we went home via the lake to get some shots. I suggested this spot as being different from anything The Man and I had blipped before and also it gave us a car park to use in case our favourite laybys were full on a Saturday afternoon.

In the morning our mission had been getting some Cumberland sausage to someone visiting the country from New Zealand. We heard about the chap's difficulty in obtaining it directly from suppliers for his consumption on a narrowboat via a forum.

We stepped in and said we would go and buy it and post it to his marina ready for him to pick up on Tuesday. The marina will put the packet in the fridge. I included an SAE, all he has to do, when he gets his sterling, is to put £20 into it and pop it in the post Then he can enjoy nearly 2Kg of our local produce.

Shame on the shops not being willing to help him!
