The Major Oak

Having had a lovely stay at our hotel, followed by a relaxed and fulfilling breakfast, we headed off for my first ever visit to Sherwood Forest. I was impressed by the sheer size of The major oak! I did a little bird spotting too- a childhood hobby that not many people know about !
We walked for a couple of hours to clear slightly fuzzy heads after last night's beverages.
Despite the inclement weather, it was just what we needed.
Home to visit mam and li'l sis to deliver a couple of gifts from today's trip, before unpacking and a bit of housework.
