Travelling the Trail

A friend of ours here in Mora is trying to get some cultural events organised - this afternoon, we went to a very good discussion by the author of a book that makes a novel out of his experiences on the Santiago Trail - he's walked it seven times, from different directions. There was also a woman who's walked it twice, showing photos of her experiences.

I didn't contribute to the discussion - maybe next time... but did wonder whether walking any long distance trail would have the same effect, even if it didn't end in a "holy place", as in, when M and I walked the Rota Vicentina on the Alentejano coast last March...

Now to read the book - after I've delivered my sermon tomorrow.
