Wet Leaves
After becoming stir crazy in the afternoon and considering that the rain had slackened, I grabbed my camera and went out looking for a drive-by shot. I stopped at White Wells where the beech leaves where shining out on the edge of the woodland. I used my old Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 zoom and kept the aperture open fairly wide for this shot in order to get the detail of the leaves. I thought at first the dark piece was a bug of some kind but I think it's the casing that protects the leaf before it emerges.
