Bluebell woods

This afternoon we decided to head to find the bluebells on Gold Island near Wark in Northumberland.  We were not disappointed.  The ground was covered in bluebells everywhere we looked and it was quite breath taking.  The sun was high in the sky and the sun popping out from behind the clouds at regular intervals and the light was almost a little too contrasty.  This made exposure a wee bit difficult and it was very breezy so macro was not an option.  Still, it was a great afternoon but I find bluebells a real challenge so not sure I was able to do justice to the beauty of the place.
