Accidental bread
I've been trying to catch up as for one reason or other I had not acknowledged comments on my blips, for which I'm always grateful, for three or four days. Now I have to catch up on your blips.
So, I've ended up late in the day wondering what to blip.
However, I've just baked for the second time a couple of loaves using a recipe which I 'invented' by accident. I wasn't sure of just what I had done the first time. I really liked the result but was quite prepared for there to be a disaster this time. Luckily, I've remembered correctly and they are.fine.
The first time I didn't have enough wholemeal bread flour, nor enough spelt which I sometimes use, so I topped up with maize flour, proportions being about 2:1:1.
It worked. I like the result.
