Whistler window, St James's Church, Eastbury.

A little while ago, Dad found an article in the paper about a very special window in a church not too far away in Eastbury. We made a note that we would like to see it and took the opportunity today. It was a good afternoon out and I'm glad we managed to see it. It is an engraved window by someone called Sir Alan Charles Laurence Whistler, as a memorial to a First World War poet, Edward Thomas. It looks particularly special with the green leaves outside behind it. The extra photos are closeups of some of the detail.
