Gently down the stream

Dereliction - but not of duty

Today is incredibly wet.  On the whole not a day for taking long walks.  So instead I did my duty by spring and got dug into some deep cleaning around the house.  I'm also, at the moment, in a mood for throwing things away.

This is my entry for tomorrow's Derelict Sunday.  The old (lidless) sugar jar came from a charity shop, so it's been derelict once already.  In it are all the things I found in kitchen drawers that need chucking:

one coffee frother, rusting
one tin opener with wonky rachet
one fine sieve with gunk irremediably attached
one pastry brush, bristles cemented together
three small wooden spoons long past their sell-by dates
one wooden salad fork of indeterminate age, once my mum's

And for good measure, the plaster on the wall badly needs re-doing and the window replacing.

Hopefully that will be derelict enough  :))  Thanks so much to Marlieske for hosting.

Enjoy your evening and let's all shut our eyes and make a wish the sun will shine tomorrow.  What do you mean?  We're blippers, I'm sure it will work!  xx
