Towards Hoghton Bottoms

Saturday 21st May 2016 (1365)

Eight members of the walking group walked today. We started at Pleasington and walked to Hoghton Bottoms and along the river Darwen. We were about a third of the way round when the rain came down really hard, we were drenched. It also made some parts, especially along by the river, quite interesting underfoot! It wasn't like that when I walked it the other week.

We arrived at the pub soaked through but we'd all enjoyed it. We were made very welcome and had a lovely meal. It was nice to get home and have a hot shower though!

Out tonight at the Ladies Choir Concert, always a good night.

This was taken on my phone, with a bit of post-processing.
