Holiday Gnomes....

ASDA are really going to town with the gnomes this year. I’m not sure what the other supermarkets are doing, I’ll have to check them out. I imagine Waitrose won’t be doing gnomes. We’ve had the Queen gnome with Guardsman and Royal Corgi gnomes. They have all flown out of our local store.

Then we had the St. George gnome, perfect to help you support England in the European Football tournament this summer. A guy from London who saw my posts got in contact with me over these gnomes. ASDA doesn’t have a big profile in London and all the stores he’d been able to get to had run out. I was looking for a price to send him one by post while he was looking at train costs from London to Manchester. Whichever was cheaper we were going to do. Then a friend of his, who was out of London for a few days, found one and took it back to London for him.

But I’m liking the new ‘Gnomes on Holiday’ versions that have appeared today. I wonder if they have anymore in the pipeline? Maybe some Rio Olympic ones in the UK kit? One in a pair of Tom Daley’s speedos perhaps?
