. . . . . . but beating a hasty retreat. With gale force wind warnings in place, we decided to forgo our 2nd day camping at Totaranui Beach, and return south to Onetahuti Beach, where we'd be closer to Anchorage and then to our start base at Kaiteriteri. This image belies what it was like when that wind blew up later in the day!
