A lovely blue

We had a beautiful sunny day today - to be followed by about a week of cooler and more wet weather - so it was off to the park for me.  There amidst all the greenery was this purply-blue flower I'd never seen before, standing bravely on its own at the edge of a small meadow.  Wish I knew what it is.
