Smooth snake

Today our wildlife holiday group visited RSPB Arne Reserve on the edge of Poole Harbour.


There are areas of dry dunes which are rare habitats and this is one of thefew places where, with the help of special staff, one can see the rare Smooth Snake. It was a privilege to see this rare and elusive creature.
