Two long drives later
... and we're at our first destination, just west of Dijon. Spending two nights here before we move on, continuing our trail of the ancient Romans. Took us six hours to reach Dover yesterday, then Mr PP drove us for another 6-7 hours today. That said, French motorways are very easy driving and the traffic very light. Mind you, who am I to talk? I snoozed for about two hours.
These photos were all taken in transit. Enjoyed saying hello again to the giant owls (electricity pylons) and the frequent rows of toffee-apple trees that look like a child's drawing. The other tree in this collage was one of many we passed, laden with mistletoe.
Off out now to find something to eat. As we've had enough of driving today, it'll have to be somewhere nearby, and probably very basic. Too tired to mind that, and looking forward to exploring tomorrow.
