Olympic fever, Shetland style?

I'm working in Shetland this week and on our way through North Mavine yesterday we spotted this intriguing/bizarre sculpture? installation? by a roadside junction in the middle of nowhere. Our landlady thinks it may have something to do with a wedding happening this coming weekend, the opening weekend of the Olympics. The bit that's difficult to see is a real live but very dead hare in the foreground, bouncing along on a stick on which its nether regions are impaled.
