Downland flowers
Things are just beginning to come out on Windmill Down. Here are a few shots.
The first is Sainfoin and used to be grown as a fodder crop. Then the hanging garden at cliff edge. And a medley. And bird's foot trefoil at the chalk track edge.
Stiff SW breeze and cool today. Very few butterflies about. PL who lives hard by the lighthouse tells me he seen Swifts passing inland but I've yet to see one this year.
