Baby Blackbird

I has a sad :(

My husband and I just rescued an adult blackbird from our garden.  It has an injured shoulder/neck and our next door neighbours cat was trying it's hardest to reach it under our fence.

We've popped it into our (new and as yet unoccupied) hedgehog house where it has some straw and food and we're hoping it's gonna survive.

I believe it's best to leave it alone, in the dark, to try and get over the shock...but I'm so worried about it!
