Big monolithic building

After yesterday's 19km bike ride (a *lot*, for my lazy habits) and today's intense football match, the last thing I needed was to go to my niece's 5th birthday party.

But family duty calls and she's a dear that deserves the (modest) sacrifice.

Anyway, it was an opportunity to photograph "very large and characterless" (dictionary definition for 'monolithic') buildings like this one, characteristic of Lisbon's Expo area, where she lives.

This is a recent (90s) area where I wouldn't want to live (I find it souless and devoid of history) but it's full of modern architecture, something I do appreciate.
