Golden Viaduct!

My aunt,  cousin and her two teenage daughters flew to England today from Toronto - next monday they will be with me! So for a while now I have been preparing, cleaning sheets and general cleaning and de-cluttering. Today I went at it like a demon! Kitchen sofa covers washed and cushions hoovered, scarves and things that needed sewing that were all along the back tidied away, allotment basket cleared of winter garb, numerous bags sorted, under the stairs space from hell tidied, pretty bowls cleared of the assorted crap I had deposited in them, fish tank cleaned, things that were broken glued back together, kitchen surfaces cleared - who knew some of my herbs had reached their expiry date 2 years ago!!!
Having blitzed the kitchen I then potted on my flower seeds and squashes in the glorious sunshine as Polly and Tilly scuffled around the garden. I even made myself tea from my HelloFresh box - nice tagliatelle with asparagus and tomato sauce and a very big gin and tonic! Oh and bone density scan rebooked! Finally a blip taken of the Viaduct in the Golden Hour!
I do wonder if I will ever achieve a more balanced way of living - it's either all or nothing and to be honest I never know when I wake up what sort of day it will be! I do know I feel a lot better after a day of doing things rather than a day of torpor!
