"Boris Bikes"

I had a rare business trip to London today, and was looking forward to the opportunity to take some photos, albeit on the little compact camera I keep in my handbag and ignoring the "rain, rain and more rain" forecast. However, at the last minute I decided to travel light, and threw everything into the laptop bag...except the camera :(

So I was restricted to the low res camera on my low budget smartphone, and needed to think harder about my subject. I was drawn to this view along the bike rack outside Waterloo Station with the Shard in the background.

Boris Johnson was Mayor of London when the bike sharing scheme was launched, hence the name (though his predecessor Ken Livingstone's administration originated the idea). One wonders if the name will stick now Boris is no longer mayor.
