Red campion

We decided not to head west today (and quite likely won't until Friday) but have a walk not too far away. Mr Rat had to help with the foodbank in the morning but later we headed out to Auchmithie north of Arbroath. It's quite a while since we were there but there's a nice walk north along lanes, as well as going down to the harbour. The light was flat so the rape field added some interest to a few pics but then we found this.
There weren't vast numbers of wild flowers but this was a fine patch of campion and drystane dyke.
The extra was taken from the bedroom window and isn't the best quality but the blue tits have taken up residence inside the wooden fascia on the house. any who have been following me for years might remember a pic from the last time they did this.
