MISSED OPPORTUNITY.....

.... another full day, and a nice visit from Barb (Walking Wombat) and CCN for a cuppa on their way back home from a visit to Penrith.

Needed to go down town myself late arvo and thought would get a pic on the way down, grabbed the camera on the way out with the long lens (70-300mm) on thinking a bird shot would be good! But nothing doing!! 

Then on way home sunset was imminent, and really started to look okay so headed to the mighty Nepean just in time to get this shot looking back up the river into the gorge.

However, could not believe my eyes - the intensity of colour to the west just got stronger and stronger - check the extra.

So, note to self, (although thought by now Blip would cause this to happen) take the bag of gear and tripod not just camera with one lens on board!!

Oh well, at least we have a record of just how intent that sunset was today.

Tomorrow night is a special night - off to the GALA night hosted by the Sydney Telegraph paper and fingers crossed that my week one winning photo here  can take out the BIG prize!!!??? Whatever happens will be fun.
