All packed up with some place to go

I thought the hype with The Torch would be starting to reduce, but not a bit of it. A summer club visit this morning where I showed not only The Torch but also my first public appearance in my Gamesmaker uniform (or Postman Pat outfit as my son called it!)

Afterwards there was the customary "Could you just.............." question and I never say "No". The people who ask only get one chance.

As I returned to the car I overheard a lady tell her friend she thought it was a Torch in the bag. Well I just can't walk away from people when they show any form of interest. I feel an obligation to let people share it. And they are never disappointed.

She was quite overwhelmed, bless her. I should have blipped her but I was too busy making sure she got her photos. I'll not forget the joy in her face though.

Anyway, 25 minutes and with a dozen more people getting their photos, I got in the car :)

This afternoon I got a call from the local paper. They want a couple of us for a photo shoot tomorrow in Kirkham. They have erected a very impressive Torch there, with Olympic ring floral arrangements to go with it.
Now I already know I'm there for at least an hour :) Ten minutes for the phto shoot and the rest will be for people who see us and "wonder if I might get a closer look" Well of course they will.

Adam is off to Nottingham for the weekend, and The Challenge starting next week. So most of thte time I'm away at The Games, he is away too. Mrs P is looking forward to the peace and quiet!

Tonight I have done most of the packing for The Games. Gamesmaker uniform on the top and clothing for just about anything Britain throws at me. First into the case though were the running shoes!
