Today we heard our first cuckoo, walking through Coddington Vineyard, Herefordshire. Mrs Mover was particularly excited as the Dartmoor cuckoos have been noticeably late or quiet. The countryside was quintessentially English, apart I suppose from the Pinot Gris, and all was well with the world. Thought your readers should know.
