Wilting

Back at work and the old routine, picking up some issues and solving them with a bit of lateral thinking. The break seems to have done my head some good. Had to stay late for a failover test of our software prior to the start of the Olympics, but that all went well so we now have a green light to go and hopefully no more fine tuning.

There wasn't much opportunity for photography today but I did take a short break late afternoon and was able to witness the less than beautiful sight of people out in some atypical summer weather. Perhaps it's just as well we don't get too many hot days. We don't know how to cope with it. Young and old alike, we have no sense of summer style. Go to France or Spain or Italy and people look great basking in the sunshine. We look like fish out of water. We simply wilt!

These people were waiting for a train at Saltaire station and the couple were definitely not enjoying the heat! After the scorching temperature of last week in the Pyrenees, I found the weather here today quite perfect.
