Volksfest
Yes, the weather in Bavaria is as bad as I’d been told.
6⁰- 8⁰c, with rain. It was 25⁰ the other week...
Well, a good day to recover from the busy weekend especially as it’s a public holiday for the start of Pfingsten (Pentecost).
The day’s main fun was an evening outing to the local Volksfest. It’s like the traveling funfairs we get in Britain, but... The big “but” is they have beerhalls run by the local breweries, like a miniature version of the Oktoberfest in Munich.
Food, beer & music.
Even more importantly yesterday, the beer hall is warm and dry.
So, I’ve proved I’m still able to lift a full Maß - that’s what they call the 1 litre beer glass. They don’t sell wee ones. One was enough, however. The breweries usually produce a special brew for the Volksfest - stronger than usual at 5.6%. They don’t sell any other beers.
Anyway, if we’d had another the waitress would only have waved her most obvious assets in my face again, and I’d have got in trouble again for looking like a dog in heat.
