Distant Blue

The Richmond Range was standing out crisply and clearly as I returned from a visit to Rapaura School out in the country. I went to pick up four huge bags of pine cones. The senior students were selling them to fund raise for a trip to Wellington. Rhys, a student who lives next door to us, was there to heave the sacks into the vehicle for me. Friends have given us loads of feijoas.This evening I am cooking up a batch of feijoa chutney... It smells yummy. Some feijoa and ginger jam will follow!
